US to follow?

Posted by Susan Ponsolle on 10-03-08

This is the first year that farmers in the United States planted GM sugar beet crops.  Thank you, Monsanto, for yet another Roundup Ready® product.

As if that's not bad enough, according to the Center for Food Safety, Monstanto requested a change to the EPA policy regarding maximum allowable residues of glyphosate, and the EPA followed through for them.  The new allowable residue was increased by 5,000%!

If this scares you, please visit the Center for Food Safety website where you can write a letter (or just use the pre-written letter) asking Hershey's to reject the use of GM sugar in its products.
